The Quebec Cabinet Deficit
With Maxime Bernier out of cabinet, Quebec's voice within cabinet has been "disastrously" weakened, says opposition MPs. Or, as Mr. Dion put it: looking at the caucus Mr. Harper has from Quebec, backfilling Quebec representation into cabinet will be difficult.
If we look at the past 2 years of government, Quebeckers are happily represented in cabinet. By the Prime Minister. On matters of serious interest to Quebeckers, the Prime Minister has shown a determination that Quebeckers have not seen in since.... since.... well, you know - pre-Kim Campbell. Instead of the stalemate Liberal-Bloc symbiosis ; the paralysis of separatism vs. federalism, we have unity and reconciliation. The leader who united the conservative movements of Canada under a single banner has taken that skill and applied it to the confederation.
And here's the joke of it all. There is a simple remedy for this supposed disaster. It is a remedy entirely in the hands of the opposition to administer: vote the government down and have an election thereby handing over a truckload of more seats to the Tories in Quebec.

Jean Lapierre, the ex-Liberal M.P. and news commentator, says he wouldn't let any of the rest of the Quebec Tory M.P.'s (who are not cabinet ministers) look after his dog.
We could get some decent M.P.'s from the West Island and Montreal, but anglophones and immigrants tend to vote Liberal automatically, except for the blip in Westmount (N.D.P.). Back in the Mulroney days there was Conservative M.P. Gerry Weiner representing Pierrefonds-Dollard on the West Island.
This all reminds me of the Denis Coderre motion to have only bilingual judges on the Supreme Court. It limits the pool of competent people for the job!

I agree Chucker, Quebec will be the tipping point for a Conservative majority...The MSM is taking Quebecers for fools to say that Max's forced resignation will cost Harper dearly in QC. It is just wishful thinking.
B.#%$*@.S!!!
B.#%$*@.S!!!
Clarification - NDP in Outremont, not Westmount.
And, in the Mulroney days, Lac-St-Louis was represented by a Tory. Jack Layton's dad.

What an inept and incompetent Government that Stephen has formed in Ottawa. Cannot even keep state secrets related to our national defence, "secret", but insteads leaves them with a biker doll for weeks and weeks.
If the Harpercons are taking leadership from Emperor George II, its no wonder that they are a clusterfuck when it comes to security, intelligence and secrecy.
Springer should take Maxine back to Montana with him and then try to fix up the Markan Intelligence Community before he comes to this country pretending to tell us what is wrong with the Canadian Systems setup by the Liberal "permanent" Government.

Now here's a thrusting headline :
'Grits claim cleavage will be an election bust'
By Gerry Nicholls
(TorontoSun.com ,
Nationalnewswatch.com)
"To their credit, however, The Liberals are taking the high road in all this and will not raise the issue of Couillard's breast size in the next erection.
"Heck, they don't even care about cleavage.
"We know this because Liberal Deputy Leader Michael Ignatieff recently told reporters:
'I don't care about her cleavage.'
******
"The Bloc Quebecois would likely have claimed that Couillard's cleavage is part of Quebec's Distinct Society, and that the federal government had no business sticking its nose in it.
"The NDP might have argued Couillard's 'American-style' cleavage was a threat to our national sovereignty and called for national mandatory burkha laws.
******
"Not to be outdone, The Green Party would no doubt have released a David Suzuki-sponsored study linking excess cleavage to global warming."
And what about Conservatives ?
We luv it .
