Tears of a Propagandist
Readers of Chuckercanuck know this blog is no chamber of sober second thought. Unrelenting propaganda is its stock'n'trade. When an angry reader comments, "this is just Harper spin", they are stating the obvious huffily in lieu of making any kind of considered and consider-worthy response. But I confess: prick me and even this propagandist bleeds - the words sting.
I want you to know that I'm not a zombie-spinmeister for the Prime Minister. I have passionate beliefs just like the next guy. I'm more than just a lousy propagandist on a cyber-soapbox. And the only way to prove that, is to offer you a glimpse into my house. (I bet you didn't know I loved animals).
Welcome (NOTE - you have to click to enlarge the picture):

BTW Chucker, I'm sorry to see John Bolton go - he seems like a complete workplace-thug, but I think that's what the UN needs 1000 of.
Okay, that is sidesplitting.
I just figured out that by clicking on the picture in Firefox, I could enlarge and read it (couldn't in Safari).
Man, you still got it - that's really, really funny.

cutest thing, there used to be 2 fish in that bowl, but Income Splitting swallowed 5% GST and now there's just Income Splitting.
(I did click on it originally - my browser just didn't enlarge it, so I assumed it was simply un-click-largeable. Most people use more up-to-date browsers than I, however...)
that's fine joe green's hamster, but don't get upset if I call you:
Common Customs and Immigration Policy with the USA.

No problem Chucker. It cant be that difficult to change a hamsters name from "Nut Bar's Abused Sex Toy".
Chucker,
Not to wander off thread (like I'd never do that :)) but, yesterday the Federal Public Accounts Committee had PWGSC on the hot seat. Christ, but they are pissed off! Even Sheila Fraser was there! On Tuesday another round begins and Royal LePage's Ray Belaire will be there to give Royal's side of the story.
You all can listen to it online on PARLVU.

I'm eager for more of this Chapter 5 story to come out - I'd really like more people to know about it.
Speaking of nudity, after the fourth ballot at the Lib convention last week, I was hoping to see Ig and Bob Rae do a recreation of the notorious fight scene from the Borat movie, but I had little influence in either camp, so I couldn't make it happen.
Hippies, some scientists and others have been warning about toxic chemicals and environmental issues since the 1970's.
They've been mocked and ridiculed since then, especially by a large number of Conservatives.
Harper's going to have to take many more substantial steps to prove he really gets this issue and is prepared to take serious action in this regard.

jj,
Harper is an asthmatic. (as am I, by chance).
I know full well he takes this issue more seriously than you think. You can't be otherwise.

when you have asthma, it just makes you very thoughtful about the air.
like once, on a subway, an acquaintance with pungeant bad breath gave me a slight wheeze and tight chest,
I wanted to use my puffer and get rid of the discomfort, but I didn't want to embarass the person because it seemed to me so obvious that only one thing could possibly have triggered that asthma attack. (we were sitting down).
That experience makes you think about what the hell is bad breath? what's smell? you know?
In some way shape or form, anyone who's had asthma thinks about the air they breath carefully.
cold air for example. moist air vs. dry air. etc.etc.

Just because Harper isn't about to have Kyoto tattooed on his ass...or pet cats...a la the usual suspects in the Libs and Dipper crowd, does not mean he doesn't care about the environment.
Yeeeeeeeeeesh!
Yeeeeeeeeeesh!
Just because Springer is so Harper whipped, doesn't mean that Springer isn't a whining and incessantly bitching cut and run Western Separatist.
Or maybe there's a connection.
Sheeesh.

maybe there is a connection and perhaps you should consider the effects of having mostly 1 sided government.
this historical outcome is the product of many things, none of them villainous or vicious. but that doesn't eliminate the conditions that creates.

Chucker,
Just knew you were a Liberal "plant" all along: those red curtains are a dead giveaway...no wonder you want to cook neo-cons for supper.
Have you no shame man. Repent, repent, before it's too late...

THAT IS PRECISELY what we suffer from in Alberta. A One Party State, run by the Party that empowers their members with more money and authority then any Communist Commisar ever dreamed of having.
Chucker should know. He is one of them. The Party Apparat has hundreds of well pampered apparachiks just like him.

joe green,
I have no connection to Alberta politics, except as a Canadian with an interest in all the provinces. My home by birth and life, is Quebec.
I do not consider the state of Alberta politics, in terms of the one-party domination of it, to be healthy. There is obviously something grossly incompetent about the left-wing in the province. Are you, prey tell, a member of the left-wing in Alberta? Are you one of those who can't get their act together because they are spending their days choking on their own bile?
