"PM Sends Envoy to Sway N. Korea"
That was the headline atop the Montreal Gazette this morning. Having spent the weekend on Church Street in Burlington, Vermont, I am completely out of the loop, Canada news-wise. (Though I can tell you alot about the Impeach Bush movement in Senator Saunders land). Since I haven't heard any reaction to the news, I thought I'd make up what I expect the reaction to be....

I had to purchase a G&M today. I threw it out in thirty seconds looking at their coverage.
But listening to cross-country check-up yesterday left me THOROUGHLY HEARTENED.
Lots and lots of ordinairy Cdns called to voice support for Harper. And this was on the CBC! The dissenters sounded like such whiny pups, Rex could barely contain his contempt.

Fighting biology? So according to biology women are supposed to sit at home and take care of the kids while husbands go to pursue career goals. Geez what am I thinking? because the tax system discourages it. Income splitting is gendre-neutral. I know a Toronto couple where after maternity leave, the mother went to work and hubby stayed home because she had the better career. This would help them.
